Vivanta Bhubaneswar, DN Square
Designed for the modern day traveller
The brief for this project aligns with Fab Studio’s philosophy to empower individuals and communities by creating environments that inspire and elevate lifestyles. As a result, the interior scheme takes a cue from international influences amalgamated with touches of heritage. It delivers experiences that are dynamic and spirited yet subtly nuanced in heritage. For instance, the contemporary decor scheme of the restaurant features ethnic upholstery or rugs. Even in the conference room, the accent walls and touches of biophilia energise the space.
Our approach is rooted in timeless sophistication with interiors that are designed to stand the test of time, combining classic elegance with modern sensibilities. The result is an enduring aesthetic that remains relevant for generations to come. For example, the bar has an energising colour scheme for guests to unwind, and the bedrooms are all about calming, relaxing hues. The guest room ambience is crafted for understated luxury, while the public spaces, such as the ballroom, emanate grandeur. Especially in the ballroom, the double-height ceilings and opulent chandeliers set the mood for luxury. In addition, the design approach focuses on creating spaces that are not only visually pleasing, but also functional and practical, ensuring that every aspect of the project serves a purpose and enhances the overall user experience.

Welcomhotel The Savoy Mussoorie
Breathing new life into a 121-year-old hotel
Resplendent in its royal heritage, The Savoy, Mussoorie by Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, has a regal history spanning over a century. It rests against the backdrop of the Garhwal Himalayan range with an aura that truly befits a heritage structure. While the built structure has been retained, retrofitting helped to breathe new life into the existing shell via adaptive reuse of spaces. Fab Studio has done the landscaping, water bodies and hardscaping. Apart from the suites, the decor for the banquet hall and dining room has also been designed by the studio.
Paying homage to the legacy of this heritage hotel, the design vocabulary is replete with tales of glamour, merriment and luxurious interiors that amalgamate classic elegance with modern sensibilities. The timeless decor complements the historic architecture. Six exclusive suites have been customised with elements that lend a unique character to each space. The warm wooden interiors are an ode to the queen of the hills and an amalgamation of old-world charm with new-age conveniences. Wallpapers, artwork and furniture are evocative of the Victorian era. Ornate chandeliers cast a soft glow over rooms adorned with intricate mouldings, plush upholstery, and antique accents.

Loya Restaurant
Interiors that transport you to the spice route!
The Loya restaurant in Delhi pays homage to the Spice Route, which was set up by the Portuguese explorers between the 15th and 16th centuries. The interiors are an immersive dialogue of global cultural influences and echo our design philosophy of evoking experiences. As a result, the design grammar celebrates handcrafted finishes – engaging the senses and emotions of the diners. The restaurant’s interior layout is divided into an inviting waiting area cum lounge, a bar and the main dining space with an intimate atmosphere. Cohesive design elements unite these spaces while exuding a distinct character.
Just as the Indian food served in the restaurant is rooted in centuries-old recipes and techniques, the decor is steeped in tradition with Durries on the ceiling, copper accents, organic textures and a warm palette. Arabic influences in the forms of arches, pendant lamps and lattices take the customer on a visual journey of this rich past. Wall murals from the colonial area tie the look together.
Central to the space narrative is the use of natural stone that symbolises the ruggedness of the landscapes. The colour scheme also draws inspiration from the spices such as saffron, red chillies, green cardamom and more. Loya takes the customers on undiscovered culinary traditions and proudly showcases heirloom ingredients.

CIP Lounge at Goa Airport
A luxurious airport lounge captures the essence of Goa
The Goa Lounge is a bespoke space designed exclusively for Commercially Important Persons (CIP) who travel via chartered or personal planes. The goal was to create an immersive experience that captures the essence of Goa and evokes a sense of delight that leaves a lasting impression on our guests. We have meticulously crafted every aspect of the lounge experience to achieve this. A tropical vibe permeates this space with a material palette that draws inspiration from the sea. Attention to detail lends a unique character to the different zones and enhances the vibrant ambience while retaining the feeling of being in an airport.
Comfort and functionality are key considerations in our design approach. The airport lounge caters to the practical needs of the guests, without compromising on style. For instance, a mock verandah with windows overlooks the lounge and brings in a slice of native architecture. The furniture is comfortable, so guests can relax, unwind, and seamlessly blend with the tranquil environment.
A private lounge inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosts the guests seeking seclusion. This exclusive space caters to VIP guests who transit through the lounge, providing complete privacy and luxurious amenities. Even the washrooms have been designed with a sense of uniqueness, featuring one-of-a-kind interiors that continue the lounge’s design narrative and add to our guests’ overall experience.
