A modern farmhouse with timeless design
‘Aranyak’ means a serene forest in Sanskrit – and true to its name, this home is a tranquil haven replete with wide spaces, a central courtyard and views of the outdoors. The contemporary single-floor residence features a minimalist facade that blends into its natural surroundings and sits snugly on a 4-acre farmland. A water body encircles the main structure, exuding a zen-like vibe and a soothing ambience. Fab Studio discerned their shared aspirations by harmoniously blending their individual tastes – the wife’s passion for art and the husband’s affinity for engineering.
Adhering to the client brief, the uncluttered interior features subtle design details offset by gleaming custom finishes and whimsical artworks that bring in a feeling of luxury. Sustainability is a core aspect of our design philosophy. Hence, environment-friendly finishes were selected and designed to age gracefully over time. From energy-efficient systems to sustainable building materials, ‘Aranyak’ incorporates eco-conscious elements that minimise its ecological footprint. Alongside, all areas feature expansive windows that reinforce the indoor-outdoor connection and overlook the garden, which features a harmonious blend of indigenous plants carefully curated to thrive in the local climate.
